District Attorney Daniella M. Shorter announces the conviction of ROSIE HILL for Possession of Controlled Substance. On October 7, 2024, Rosie Hill appeared before the honorable Judge Tomika H. Irving in Port Gibson, MS and pled guilty to the aforementioned charge. Judge Irving sentenced Defendant Hill to Twenty (20) years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections, with fifteen (15) of those years suspended and five (5) years served under the Intensive Supervision Program (House Arrest). Defendant Hill is required to pay court cost in the amount of Four Hundred and Twenty-Seven Dollars and Fifty Cents ($427.50) and a bond fee as ordered by the Court.
On or about August 10-11, 2018 Rosie Hill was found to be unlawfully in possession of liquid hydrocodone. At the time of possession, Defendant Hill did not have an authorized prescription for the controlled substance. Hydrocodone is a Schedule II narcotic.
