Robdarrious Reed PRESS RELEASE

DA Daniella Shorter Office Seal

December 20, 2024

District Attorney Daniella M. Shorter-Levy announced the conviction of Robdarrious Reed for the crime of Obstruction of Justice. Reed was sentenced by Judge Tomika H. Irving in Claiborne County on December 17, 2024, to serve three (3) years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections with three (3)

years suspended and one (1) year of supervised probation. Additionally, he was ordered to pay court costs of $427.50, a $150.00 investigative fee to the District Attorney’s Office, and a $100.00 fine to the Crime Victim’s Compensation Fund.

On November 6, 2022, Reed hindered the prosecution of Jakobi Wallace by

providing false information to law enforcement on behalf of Jakobi Wallace, who

was charged with shooting into the dwelling of Deondre Marshall.

On this day, Deondre Marshall was shot in the shoulder while he was at his home in Port Gibson, Mississippi. During the investigation of this matter by the Claiborne County

Sheriff’s Department, it was learned that a group of boys including Jakobi Wallace

got into an alleged altercation with Dailyn Alexander at a convenience store. After

this argument, Wallace and the group of boys pursued Alexander in their car and the

guys in the car started shooting at Alexander as he approached Deondre Marshall’s

home.

As a result of this shooting, bullets were fired into the home of Marshall, and

he was shot. Based on the findings of this investigation, it was determined that Reed

provided false information to law enforcement on behalf of Jakobi Wallace in order

to hinder the prosecution of Jakobi Wallace and Reed pled guilty to the charge of

Obstruction of Justice.
