
Raquel Rankin, Victim Assistance Coordinator, receives “Interviewing Children and Preparing for Court” Certification.

The Twenty-Second Circuit District Attorney Office proudly announces that Raquel Rankin, Victim Assistance Coordinator, received her “Interviewing Children and Preparing for Court” Certification. Raquel completed forty (40) hours of lecture and field-based training offered by Child First Mississippi.
Raquel’s new certification qualifies her to conduct forensic interviews with minors who have been physically or mentally victimized.
On August 23, 2024, Raquel was awarded the 2024 Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) Member of the Year Award from Natchez Children’s Advocacy Center. This award is given to a team member who exhibits special care, consideration, and continuous participation in CAC meetings and case conceptualization. Raquel is known as a team player with other MDT Team members, a strong advocate for all victims, and a true champion for children. This achievement constitutes her commitment to supporting children in Claiborne, Copiah, and Jefferson counties.
Raquel is a native of Claiborne County. She has been employed with the Twenty-Second
Circuit District Attorney's Office since May 16, 2020. Raquel is a dedicated employee and has been awarded for her outstanding work with the Children Advocacy Center. Her
unwavering love and care for victims is impeccable. To Raquel, this is not just a job, but
a way of life. She states, “Knowing that I can help kids navigate the parallels of the
justice system and put a smile on their faces warms my heart.” District Attorney Daniella
Shorter Levy states, “I am committed to supporting the professional development of my
staff as we continue to provide vital services to our community.”
