Raquel Rankin is the Victim Assistance Coordinator for the 22 nd District Attorney’s Office. Raquel Rankin earned an associate in arts from Hinds Community College in December of 2008.


She also earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in criminal justice from Alcorn State University in 2013. Where she furthered her education by earning a Master of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Colorado Technical University in 2016.


Raquel then, went on to pursue her career path by becoming a Victim Advocate for the Claiborne County Sheriff's Department. After becoming a Victim advocate Raquel realized her calling and went back to school earning a Masters of Secondary Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree from Alcorn State University in 2021.


Raquel is dedicated to her work and is passionate about helping others, both in and outside the courtroom. She takes immense pride in her work, particularly in her interactions with victims and their families, and is committed to bridging the gap in the justice system one victim at a time.


Residing in Lorman, Mississippi, Raquel lives with her two sons, Kaleb and Jermari, her sister Dominque, and a host of beloved pets.
