District Attorney Daniella M. Shorter announced the conviction of Chris Wilson for the crime of Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor. Chris Wilson was sentenced by Judge Tomika H. Irving in Copiah County on July 22, 2024, to serve five (5) years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections with five (5) years suspended and five (5) years of supervised probation. Additionally, he was ordered to pay court costs of $427.50, a $150 investigative fee to the District Attorney’s Office, and a $100 fine to the Crime Victim’s Compensation Fund.


On July 2, 2020, Chris Wilson was discovered to be spending time with a minor

under his supervision as an adult. During the investigation of this matter by the

Crystal Springs Police Department, it was determined that the adult supervision of

the minor child by Chris Wilson was improper and it ultimately resulted in causing

emotional harm to the minor. The investigation by the Crystal Springs Police Department led to the arrest of Chris Wilson for the crime of Contributing to the

Delinquency of a minor. Therefore, Chris Wilson pled guilty to this crime and he

was sentenced accordingly.
